My old red dog is starting to get stiff in his elbows. I've been lucky to always have dogs with good hips, but all of my big dogs have developed elbow soreness in their later years. Anyway, I picked up some Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint peanut butter flavored cookies (with Glucosamine) in them to see if they'll help. He sure does love them! Anyway, for his weight (about 80-82 lbs.) he's supposed to have 3 cookies every day. I'm wondering if I need to give him all 3 at once, or if I can spread them out over the day without reducing their effectiveness? Or does it not matter? It doesn't say on the package, and the people at the feed store didn't know. I know I should call my vet, but I also know that they'll say to put him on Rimadyl instead, which I don't like. So your experiences and opinions would be helpful, thanks!

Here's Jerry last October. He just turned 11 years old.
