Now isn't that too CUTE! Thank you for sharing Connie! I ahve always wanted to see a small mini trained for 'in hand' dressage. Does anyone know of one?

Charlotte

Charlotte (& others interested) - You might want to search the forum as this topic has come up before. I would LOVE to train one of ours for dressage, and even bought a book on schooling in-hand (including airs above the ground). Now if I could only find the time........

Thanks for sharing the video. I do have a big horse that does some ridden dressage...

We have a couple that can do a decent passage, piaffe and lateral work in hand and driven when his highness feels like it.

That is too cool! I would love to train my guy to do some in hand. That could also tie in with driving class with collection and extension!! I so want to do that!

It's really cute and I like the turnout but the mini doesn't appear to actually be DOING anything except keeping up. What's up with that?? I've seen one with a Friesian where the mini is was actually performing passage and Spanish Walk and such on long lines right along with the ridden big horse!

We know they're capable of it so I wish the trainer would have asked for a little more. She did a great job with the wraps and tack though, the horse looks like a perfect miniature dressage horse.

And obviously the horse she was riding put on quite an impressive show! Wow.

I agree Leia, the mini didn't do the tempes when the big horse was. In fact I didn't see it do much of anything for dressage.
