I have been playing with The Six and like challenging their listening abilities and my communication skills by doing some simple obstacles with them in the two wheeled cart. Here they are doing a u-turn obstacle.

I have been playing with my wheel pair and the hitch wagon. Here we are playing with the driven obstacles! I have an awful lot of fun with my horses!

Thank you, I am hoping to inspire other team drivers to give driven obstacle a try. I find that I really enjoy challenging myself and my team by doing obstacles. My faves? Hula hoop pivot, u-turn and any of the backing obstacles!

Its on my agenda for this year. Just for fun though, Idon't show. I just enjoy doing new things with them and teaching them new things I think keeps them sharpe and engaged.

Your videos ARE very inspiring.

After watching your 6 up - I may never do that. One - takes a LONG time to harness and hitch that many and also I don't usually even have 1 person to help out these days. I'm further away from my driving friends' right now, too - BUT closer to "driving country" (CDE type), so ... who knows?

I am hoping to have the wagon tongue changed so that we can start practicing with a 4 up this summer. After I master the lines and get them all working - we'll go from there. I don't have a 3rd pair ready for doing a 6 up right now - even if I had the lines.

But we'll see. All of mine are much taller than yours right now (38 - 43") and wear larger harness (collars are 13-14").

Keep the videos coming - really enjoy watching/learning from what you do. YOU are AWESOME at teaching from afar!

I agree. I will probobly never have a 6 up as I don't have the space money or the time for that many, but I am inspired to do all I can with the pair that I have. Keep up the good work, and please keep the vidios comming!!

So we went to the Touch of Class show over the weekend. I only took a pair as I was sick two weeks and could not get the drives on my six, and could not get their harness finished.

I showed the pair twice in driven obstacle, once at the Kick Off AZ show on Thursday (6 out of 10 under one judge) and then on Saturday at Touch of Class. Thursday was with the custom cart Hubby built for me, Saturday was with the hitch wagon. Yes, you read that correctly, the hitch wagon!

The hitch wagon?

You mean the larger, "new" one - that you purchased as a "project"? WOW ! That you got it done and ready so fast AND that just a single pair pulled it.

Did hubby or another friend take pics you can share later? Or was there a photographer at this show?

And CONGRATULATIONS!!

No, it was the smaller hitch wagon. Next year I'll have the larger one, hopefully, but I do not think that I would attempt obstacle with it. But then again, you just never know!
