I have been looking for a EE cart for my young boy and the catalogs have me confused. My boy is a B mini and not sure what length shafts to look for. Big Dees has a cart listed for mini/pony. Can a mini use the same cart as a pony? I have been looking for a used cart because eventually I would like to drive a duo team. Those wagons are hard to find also. Where are the best places to look in the North East? Thanks

THE best way to measure shafts is to measure the horse. Just like you can't say, "I'm 5'3", what shoe size do I need!"

Measure the horse from the point of the shoulder to the point of the buttock, then add 8-12" depending on the design of the cart.

You will need a four-wheeled vehicle to put a pair to safely, so I wouldn't even worry about that at this point. You will need to make sure that you have a good foundation driving a single before you move to pairs.
