Hello

I know this has been discussed many of times, but I am in need of a shipper for the east. I have contacted many but still are not having any luck. The original shipper is having a hard time getting a load my way (GA).

Now I need a horse shipped from KY to GA as soon as possible.

If you know of any shippers that are not usually mentioned on here or can recommend someone I would love to hear about them.

The ones I have contracted.

Sharrway

All State

Cox

Horse'n Around

Miniature Ventures

If you know of any different one or are someone who is making a trip down this way and would like a little gas money please let me know.

Thank you for your help.

I highly recommend Hauled Wright www.hauledwright.com

Excellent service, reasonable prices and always on time.

I second that on Hauled Wright. Excellent service and reasonable. They took excellent care of our filly coming from OH recently.

I have also use All State.

A client used Zeigler and they were very easy to work with.

Hope you find someone.

Sharrway is bring a horse to me in Tennessee from Ohio, sometime towards the end of this month. Wayne & Sharron are the best.

I love All State.

You should have said something earlier... my roomate just drive down to Georga (actually, IS driving as we speak/read) today. Oops!

Ditto HauledWright.com. They hauled a horse for me the first part of December from Texas to Maine.

As for everyone else, I contacted HauledWright, AllState, Sharrway (first on my list), and Horsen' Around and none of them could do this trip.

I have found a new transporter and will let everyone know, what I think. So far I am real impressed.

By the way HI

Sheryl (Irish Hills Farm). It has been a while since we have last met at a horse show, back in MI. Maybe we will meet again at one of the shows down here. I too am thinking about getting back in the show ring after 3 years off. I hope it is like riding a bike.

How's it feel to be a southerner? I am loving it so far.

I have used some that you have mentioned, but I have also used Worleys hauling and they are very good. i don't know if they will be in that area right now though. I have never needed one shipped in a hurry so I always give plenty of notice and let them tell me when they will be available.

You might want to contact Kitty Walmer from Zephyr Woods Miniatures - she is making some trips in that vicinity in the not too distant future.

I had a person buy from me in NC and ship to FL using this company. I have no idea on price (buyer paid all costs) but they arrived on time, were clean and professional and I was told the horse made the trip in record time and was in great condition on arrival. I have used HauledWright also, great company too. These folks might help you out also:

I also recomend Hauled Wright, too bad they can't do it for you.

Another hauler I used and recomend is Joe Stark, http://www.starkhavenfarms.com/ They hauled my haffy/welsh cob from SC to Az for me last year.

Is their a set price per mile? Or is it based on supply/demand???

Zoey: Average price for haulers per mile seems to be 50 cents to $1.50. Fill in rates usually are a little lower (if they are already going somewhere and have an empty stall they want to fill). And some will discount multiple horses.

HEY Marcy!!! I thought that was you but wasn't 100% sure. You should get back out in the ring, I'm so looking forward to it. I'm thinking of coming down for the AMHR Area 3 show there in Perry. How far are you from there? According to Rand McNally online its about a 5 hr drive for me.

Go to travelinghorse.com and put in your information. I have never failed to get quotes from various shippers and have been satisfied with those I have used.

Well my colt made it. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND this shipper.

Charlie Altstatt (new to the shipping business and is not ready for it)

I will not disclose on here why, but if anyone wants to e-mail me, I would be glad to share the info.

HEY Sheryl, Perry is about 2 1/2 hours straight south of me. When is the AMHR Area show? I haven't even looked up any shows yet. I do know there are some coming up in April but I won't be ready for those.
