As funny as this may be, why is my face twitching? haha.

Since 5th period today my face has started twitching right below my eye. I can feel it, it is almost throbbing. It doesn't hurt though. Is it from stress? I have been very stressed lately.

I read somewhere that that is very common. It can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few days! It also has happened to me though, but it was my eyelid. Had it all day at school, then when I woke up the next morning, it was gone!

An onset of Bells Palsey was my first thought too. Most Drs tended to dismiss this s just something to deal with. Luckily they are starting to look at why this nerve would flip out. Have you been bitten by anything lately?

Bells palsey is scary, but not as bad as it sounds. It will generally go away within a few days, maybe sooner if the cause can be found right away.

Hope its just a twitch though!

It has happened to me for as long as I can remember every once in awhile (like a couple times a year). I don't think in my case it's because I'm sick with anything because it's never gotten worse. I think in my case, it's probably stress related. Hopefully, it's just the same with you. Just something that rarely happens and when it does, you feel like it's really noticable, but it is not if you can catch yourself in the mirror when it happens

PS with me it only happens around my eyes (only one eye per "session") or around my mouth.

Often it is nutritional - Low potassium and/ or calcium also can cause this. Cut the caffiene and add B12 along with bananas and milk

(I am not a doctor but majored in Nutrition in college once upon a time...)

In college, whenever I faced a biology test --- there would come the twitching eye......sometimes even when I tried to read my biology text, there it went. Since then, whenever I'm WAY WAY nervous, I mean WAY nervous, there it goes. Stress? Yeah.

I woke up and it was gone, but it twitched once when I saw my boyfriend today  Maybe he is causing it.

*editted for spelling

Most of my family has something like this. Just once in awhile, the eyelid or right below the eye ends up twitching!

Mine did ti for a week or two when we moved back from Ohio... when I was starting to get really worried about it, it stopped. I think it was just stress.
