What a beautiful baby that would have been. I am so sorry for both you and Fancy. I know that your utmost thought is to save your beautiful Fancy. Hugs and prayers for both of you!
Thanks for sharing the picture, I know that had to be difficult for you.
Oh Lyn I am so sorry! That poor little girl was SO close! I am very glad that the Lord took this out of your hands though. You and Fancy are in my prayers. What a beautiful little girl...just breaks my heart.
I am so sorry! I have been praying for you and all the others, but haven't been online as I have been ill. Glad that you didn't have to make the choice, but so sorry as I know this hurts really bad.
Many hugs to you, and continued prayers for Fancy.
Lyn I am so very sorry for the loss of this little filly. I hope as the days pass Fancy starts feeling better. Thank you for posting the pictures, that must've been so hard for you to do.
Lyn, I'm so sorry! I also want to thank you for taking the time to post this, as a learning experience for those of us that are less experienced.
Ohhhh Lynnn,,,,, I am so truly sorry. You did everything you could. It must be hard to see the baby, but she didn't suffer. And now I hope Fancy will start healing fast. Again, I am sorry.
Oh no, I am so sorry Lyn! I was really hoping Fancy could just hang on to the foal just a little longer. This is so sad and what a beautiful filly she was!
But I guess the man upstairs had other plans for your little angel.
I hope Fancy is doing okay and makes a full recovery.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers Lyn and again I am so sorry for your loss.
Please keep us updated on Fancy progress, we will be pulling for her!
THe consulting vets from Blueridge said Fancy should by all rights and reasons be dead with those values. She is continuing to fight....she was bringhter this afternoon, calling to me when she saw me coming with another dose of meds.... She has been up all day. Tuesday her heart rate was over 100 and today t is down to 60, 48 is normal... her respirations and temp are normal. Her gums are just a bit yellow but she should really be pretty orange from those liver tests! Denise was VERY pleased how she looked tonight. She just left. She is now on Karafate and also another antibiotic which escapes me at the moment. I want to tell you all that I agreed to let Denise take the baby back to the clinic. Not for a necropsy but rather she will preserve her skeleton to help teach Chiropractics.... I know there are many of you here who will flame me for allowing this but.... I feel like there is so little vets know about some of these things that any opportunity to provide another learning tool is very important. And, I feel like this filly didnt die in vain and her little life will have had some meaning.
Please dont flame me for letting them take her... it was the only way to give her meaning.
