It is 10 minutes past midnight and I am still awake. I have to be up at 6 am to be ready for work. It is nothing for me to be up until 1 or 2 am. I can be soooo tired about 2 0r 3 in the afternoon but the later it gets the more energy I get. Ugh! Frustrating. And if something is worrying me (which is often, I am a professional at worrying), good grief I might as well just stay up.

I was but not anymore.

I have had to change my lousy eating habits and that included the 2 liter pepsis that I drink like water and lay off the sugar and candy. Amazing what doing that can do.

I found out that it's not so bad to give up caffine and not to eat late at night.

It's working good so now I can be up earlier and get off to a better start. Don't want to nap in the middle of the day anymore either.

I recently lost 14 pounds now (& counting) and usually will go to bed by 10:00 instead of 2 or 3:00 AM. I'm getting out of that Plus Size section too if it kills me.

Sometimes I do have a late night when I'm up like now, after midnite but I'm heading to bed so I can function better tomorrow.

My sleeping pattern is waaaaaay off. I fell asleep about 8 last night, woke up at 11 and didn't go back to sleep until 5a.m. I woke up with the kids for school and took a short nap later in the day.

If I wake up in the night, it takes me 2 hours to fall back asleep. And I always wake up at night. Usually around 1a.m. and I get tired again around 3 or 3:30. I can sleep in if I want because I work part time at home (yippee I am the luckiest person in the world!)

But geesh....being awake at night and asleep during the day is annoying!

Mare stare screwed me all up! I swear! I was pretty normal before then. I used to wake up before 6 without an alarm-- almost like clockwork (he he he)

I think I'm getting the right amount of hours in for sleep. But it's in bursts of 2-5 hours at a time. I hope that's enough to reach REM sleep. I'll let you know when the hallucinations set in.

And, NO. It's not menopause!

[SIZE=16pt]Count me in...but I also have restless leg syndrom and sleep apnea. I can relate with your tiredness throughout the day. There have been a few times recently where I've fallen into a light sleep at work. YIKES. I'm on a medication for my sleeplessness too, but I'm not convinced it's working. One thing that does help is for me to get some warm milk and settle down with a book. I'll usually fall asleep reading with the light on. However, I'm up in a couple hours to turn out the light and then I fight getting back to sleep.

Here here

I have the issue where when it gets later, I want to do everything. I normally end up dancing around my room, or cleaning it, or even going to the barn. I swear my horses roll there eyes, almost like here she is again.

My sleep habits are getting weirder by the day. I am usually awake at 5 am no matter when I go to bed. I fall asleep on the couch at 8:30 wake up later and go to bed and read for hours. I can hardly sleep without the light on anymore and can wake in the morning still holding my book with glasses on. I have been taking Wellbutrin to stop smoking and now to help lose weight and that has compounded the situation. Can't wait to finish my presciption.

Well....let's see.....Last night I went to bed at 10. I read myself to sleep so no problem there. But I woke up at 2:10, 3:25, 4.15, 5.34 and finally got up at 6.30. That's my normal nights' sleep and it's soooo frustrating.

well I have always been a night owl....hate morning's they stink.......but due to having to work I must be up by 7 am ......I try to be in bed by 10 and usually fall asleep by 11-11:30 ....then the geezer dog will wake me around 1:30 then again around 2:30 that is if I fell back to sleep most nights I seem to sleep from 11-1:30 then am awake from 1:30 - 3:30 and then have to get up by 7 oh and hubbies alarm goes off at 5........I used to be able to sleep through anything....now everything wakes me up........I also dream ALL night........ no wonder I am so stinkin tired and cranky....oh and do not forget the stupid night sweats.....man I used to freeze to death and have like 50 blankets on my bed now a sheet and comforter is wayyyyy tooooo much.....getting old sucks

getting old sucks
You can say that again! Your night sounds alot like mine. I also hate mornings, have never been a morning person. At our house the mornings are very quiet, my daughter is like me and not one either, my husband is a morning person so he knows he had better be quiet or he'll get his head bit off. LOL I have to get up at 6:30 to be out of the house by 7:30 and on the road to work, but I hardly ever get to bed before midnight, lots of times past one. Then I dream...lots. Up at least once sometime during the night, then my husbands alarm goes off at 5. Mine goes off at 6, then I lay there trying to get my eyes open til 6:30. Thank goodness one of us is good to go when the alarm goes off, since he feeds in the morning. I feed at night and during mare stare, I'm your woman. I do make up for it on the weekends, yesterday I slept til 9 and this morning I slept til 10:30. Make up sleep, has it's down side, I feel pretty good right now.

You all sound like me ---- a few months ago. Reading til all hours. Fall asleep back up again in a few hours. All sorts of strange hours without a good nights sleep.

Then a family member suggested I try Tylenol PM. I sleep all night when I take it and have no trouble waking up.
