Finally after all this time of being Puppy-No-Name.... She just reminds me of a walking teddy bear. No we didn't want Bear, had one in the family.

Yesterday she was out "helping" me pull dandelions. As she was jumping and hoping around, I called her Hop A Long Cassidy. And she like Cassidy, so there you go! She finally named herself!

After a week or so of " OMG what have I done" HeeHee, I am VERY happy with her. The up many times a night to take her out were not really fun. So I am down to a couple times a night. Much better. And she is getting the swing of things. The kitties are finally forgiven me. And the old chihuahua, TRIES to put her in her place, but everyone just laughs at her! Sad. So we tell the puppy NO for her.

Cute picture of her!!! I love the name Cassidy for her!!!

I am really bad for leaving animals nameless and letting them name themselves!

Congrats!!!

Buddy monopolized my life... I spent so much time getting him in and out to prevent accidents, so much time just watching him so he's safe. So much time thinking and rethinking where he should be when chores are done... Thankfully, since this was my husband's decision, he slpet on the couch for night duties.

We ended up buying Buddy a "playpen" that worked well for outside while chores are getting finished. Peace of mind.

Is Cassidy crate trained? How is she managed outside?

Thanks everybody!

Karla, she is with one of us at all times. She was going up and down two stairs really well. And then she tripped and fell and yite-ed and yite-ed. I felt so bad. She limped for a minute and then was fine. I was crying and ready to take her the vet. But my daughter said she was fine and she is.

A couple days after I brought her home she started to throw up some and have watery diarrhea. SCARED ME so bad. Took her to the vet and no it was not parvo, it was something she ate. Was fine in a couple hours.

We need to make a play pen for her. But for now if I can't watch her she is in her crate. She is 9 weeks and is about 85 % potty trained. She is starting to get it.

So I am saying she is wonderful, but I need to buy two boxes of Clairol to cove the grey hair she has given me! HeeHee!

Sorry about the sleepless nights....but sounds like she is coming along just great!

We usually leave them nameless, too; except, a couple years ago, my MIL gave me a gray and white long-haired kitten for a b-day gift, we couldn't think of a good name, so we started calling him "Bob" as a place-holder name, well 3 year later, "Bob" it is and what we usually call him. Although, now and then, its "Bobbiopolus" or "Blob" (He's kind of chunky).

Kim...what a cute girl she is...Mel thinks you did REALLY well picking out a nice puppy
