This is something I've been needing to do for years and am determined to get it done this year! Not all of my mares are pictured on my website and some of the ones that are, don't have the best photos. So, I'm set to photograph all the mares that don't have show pictures.
Today was the day and it has begun. Here are pics of the first two.
This is Royal M Ima Ravin Beauty, 29" 5 yr old mare. Ravin is in foal to Redrock Incognito for Feb 07. She belongs to my daughter, Cammie. Ravin was good for her bath and clip job, but was pretty mad and sulking by the time we got to the photography session! She's really much prettier than these pictures!
This is East Acres Stary Night, 33" 11 yr old mare. Interesting story here. I bought Stary Night in 1998 and she was delivered to me at the AMHR Nationals in Columbia, MO that year. It was terribly hot that September and she was really hairy so I thought I would give her a partial clip just to keep her cooler as I wasn't going to be heading home for several days. Well, as a 3 yr old, she had hardly seen humans apparantly, much less clippers! After trying a few swipes at her and realizing one of us was going to get killed, I decided not to risk injury to her, me or her unborn foal! So, in all these years of owning her, I have never put the clippers on her again until today!!!
: Stary Night had a bath, a clip job and a photography session today and neither me, her or her unborn foal ( she's due in Sept to Harts Tip Top Flash) are none the worse for wear!!! :aktion033:
Stary Night is simply one of the most beautiful mares I have ever seen. If I only had one to grace my pastures, she'd be the one!
