Flax Seed

I am just woundering if anyone uses flax seed on thier animals

Yup, I use it. I buy it whole and grind it fresh in a coffee grinder, My big horse has skin problems it is supposed to help with that and its been known as a great coat conditioner forever. I have fed it since I owned my first horse over 30 years ago. Kathy

I also use ground flax seed (in a coffee grinder) - has really made a difference and added a wonderful shine to their coats!

A friend told me that she and her husband use it to control their colesterol with amazing results.

My mom uses it, and she thinks its the best stuff ever! If she dosent have it, she gets sick

but keep in mind, my mom is SYCKO

We have used it on the horses and l noticed the birds will eat it if put in the outdoor feeders.

I dont know a thing about this stuff. ( SO maybe I should not bother posting? ) I have heard that it is suppose to be good for shiny coats - am I wrong? I will wait for an answer before I post my next two cents!
