Can't wait to see everyone elses!

Lovely!

I have 2 things in my flower bed that come out in October. The white mums, which were a potted plant when we lost our 3 year old grand daughter, and the yellow anise hyssop.

The other flowers are slowing down. Also have a grass that sits quietly all summer and right when you think it isn't going to do a thing, turns into this:

Too soon for trees to turn here, though some sumac is beginning to turn. Our antique tractor club is touring the Wildlife Refuge next week, hoping to time the prime tree color just right. Hopefully the elk will also be bugeling and we will have time to stop and feed the prairie dogs!

So beautiful Shari and Marsha! I wish I had something to add. That is if I knew how.

I'm really convinved that humans can't live without beauty. Just for fun, the other day, I bought a new very colorfull shower curtain with bright colored fish to spark up the bathroom. But nothing like natures paints.

Those are all beautiful pictures! I just love the fall season. I hope to be getting some fall pics soon....just been so busy with craft fair projects I have not had a chance to take out my camera.

Beautiful pictures everyone! I absolutely love fall!

We do not get much color in our woods being as the woods is mostly large oak trees, and they tend to go more from green to brown vs. getting color. So, when my family was here, I drove them just a couple miles down the road to see some color. We live in a real hilly area, and these were taken overlooking a couple different valleys.

This one literally looked like the woods was on fire!

In the fall we get some beautiful sunrise looking out our front window. The color doesn't last long, but if you can catch it, it's a glorious sight to see. I know it isn't plant based, but it is color, and it only happens in fall.
