May-June. My mares gestations run 300-334 days. It's hard, but not impossible to have a viable foal before Day 300. And there are mares that like to go beyond 340 days. Good luck!

I've noticed that you have asked a lot of questions about breeding and stallions.I would suggest before you even think about breeding next year that you do a lot of reading,so that you are prepared. Blessed Are The Broodmares is a good a book also Miniature Horses by Barbara Naviaux. Everyone starts of knowing very little but you owe it to your mares to be prepared before you even consider breeding.

We have a mare who is bred no earlier than June 1st and she's foaling out at the beginning of April. Most of the time we breed June 1st and after because we don't want foals in April since it's still cold up here usually. But, I'd say if you want an April foal - I'd start breeding on May 1st.
