FOUND A GREAT BARN CAMERA. . . .

Well, for $34.18 including shipping, I purchased a Swann DIY Wired Camera (can give exact details if anyone is interested in knowing) and set it up in the barn just a little while ago. . . .IT WORKS GREAT!!!!

Now that I can watch her from my comfy feather bed in my bedroom and not have to walk outside all during the night, I would like to take it just one step further. I would like to set up on Mare Stare. Only one problem. . .VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE.

Can you tell me which inexpensive VCD's you have used successfully with mare stare? Since my mare is progressing more and more every day, I would really like to have this set up ASAP so all my LB friends can watch and help me out a little bit! This is especially important seeing as I am going to be gone for a few hours on Mondays and almost all day long on Tuesdays so I REALLY need as many eyes on her as possible when I am gone. Mondays & Tuesdays and at night is the only time I will have it on and running - we have Hughes Net and can't exceed their bandwidth so we are limited to how many hours we can have it running

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Get the Dazzle it can be found on Amazon

I got the older version for under $40 bucks

Ditto!!! Get the Dazzle from eBay and then email Heather or Rich at Marestare. They can set you up in a jiffy. Rich just remoted in to my computer and set it all up for me. They are wonderful!

Dazzle here... $45 @ Best Buy... mine is the white one...LOVE it! I also got a Lorex color wired camera w/audio and night vision from Radio Shack for $49...it puts out a good picture...It comes with 100 feet of A/V cable...bought a coupler and another 250 feet of A/V cable and its reaches great! I just have to position it better so you can see more of the horses... I want to get a wide angle...

I read up on it and the farthest it can be extended (for still good clear quality) is 72 meters (like 200ft I think. . .don't hold me to it I'm horrible at conversions). I think you are going to need a very high-quality (and most likely expensive) wireless barn camera to get your job done! Mine is about 90-100ft from my bedroom TV so it's fairly close to my house.

I'm probably the only one that can't get this to work, but I may be putting my Dazzle up for sale. Nobody can seem to figure out the problem here either.

I don't think there is a problem with the Dazzle. It's new and properly installed on my computer. The problem may be with my older camera. The Dazzle doesn't recognize the signal.

I searched ebay for the Dazzle and there were quite a few different looking items - could someone post a link or a pic of the actual product so I can see it and not buy the wrong thing?

The Dazzle can be purchased at Best Buy and most office supply stores. If you can find a used one with no software that will work also as only the drivers are used and they can be downloaded online.

what does the dazzle to actually? I have a baby monitor can I use that to do the mare stare?

I have the black dazzle.

The dazzle converts the image from the camera to the computer etc.

Technically its a dvd recorder.

It does a lot of other stuff too but I only use it for marestare
