Okay, got the new furturity info today, but have a question.

I want to nominate a foal from last year, however the kicker is, the stallion was not nominated either.

I sold the stallion, however I am pretty sure She wouldn't mind if I paid to nominate him.

From what I read in this e-mail, I can nominate this stallion for Last year, (2006) and therefore Also nominate my 2006 filly that I want to as well. Am I correct? I know it'll cost me a bundle, but I think that this filly is really worth it!! Help help help!

I don't think you can now. I think the stallion HAS to be nominated before the foal is born, and the foal must be under 3 months of age. However, I'm not entirely sure, so I would call the registry to find out for certain.

If the stallion was not nominated before the foal was born, the foal cannot be nominated now. There is no late buy-in for the futurity. If you nominated the stallion and mare before the first of March of 2006, then the foal of 2006 needs to be sustained before March 1 of this year.

Hope this helps, but you can pm me for more info on futurity if you need it.

Are you talking about the AMHA Futurity?? If so, a stallion has to be nominated before any of his foals are born. In another words, in order for the 2006 foals to be nominated, the stallion would have to be nominated in 2005. The 2006 foal nomination deadline has been extended to Feb 15, 2007.
