Futurity Nominations

I bought a Modern mare that is bred to a Classic stallion. I want to Futurity nominate the baby. Do I need to 1st nominate the stallion and mare (or find out if either one or both has already been nominated)? Do I nominate the baby as a Classic or a Modern?

I'm new to the nominating part of the Futurities...

I almost bet your foal will be a classic based upon what I know about that mare and the stallion she is bred to

But I know that there is one futurity (classic or modern) that you can switch from, and the other one you cannot switch to or from or just from once it is switched but to be honest, I am not 100% sure so I'll let someone else just handle this one. Need to get mine done.

Yeah, I was thinking Classic, too...but I don't want to mess up.

You can nominate for both - or you can move from classic up to modern -once. You have to nominate them and then call the office if you think you are in the wrong division.

You have to nominate the stallion and the mare.
