Gallery

[O So]

I recently found out through another topic that we can have a gallery here on LB, so I figured I would start one. I am having a problem uploading pics to it though.

When I try to upload from my computer, it shows that it is uploading and how much it has to go. Then it goes to a new page, but there is nothing there, just a white screen. I also tried to copy and paste my pic from photobucket, into the box that looks like the box that we write our posts in. It gives me an error message.

I notice there are a lot of people that looks like they have started a gallery, but have not put any pics in it yet. Wondering if they are having the same problem? Is anyone else having problems putting pics in the gallery?

I know that I am not going to be much help because I do struggle with posting pictures. But I did just go to the gallery and posted a picture of my little mare Serenade looking over her stall railing and it worked. By the way SUPASPOT had just posted some gorgeous photos! What I did was click on New Image (since I already had an existing album). I scrolled down to Browse and just opened the photo from "my photos". Then clicked "submit image." It worked. Now as far as going to photobucket or snapfish or other and copy/paste I am not sure if there are any problems. I am going to try that later when I have time. Good luck!

I'm doing the same thing except it doesn't work. LOL When I hit the submit button, it shows that the photo is loading, but then it goes to a new page that is white. Sure wish I could figure it out. I have even tried to do it from different browsers. Maybe I will try to do it from my pc instead of my Mac!

Ok, I guess the gallery isn't Mac friendly? I just tried to upload a pic using my pc and it worked. Only bad thing is, I don't have pics of O So or Pippin on the pc. I only use it for working on a website for the stables I go to. So the birds you see are Bonnie and Clyde! LOL

Do any of you have a Mac and can you upload to the gallery?

I think I figured out what the problem is. Is there a size limit to what the gallery will except? If I try to upload a pic I took with my good Canon camera which takes the pics at 3200, the gallery will not upload it. If I try to upload one that I took with my point n shoot camera, which takes them at 1600, it will upload them.

Guess I will try to shrink one of the 3200 ones to 1600 and see if it works.

At least I can ad some actual mini pics now, instead of birds! LOL

LOL, Yah, that was the problem, there is a size limit. I shrunk my 3200 pics down to 1600 and all worked fine!!
