Yesterday I gave my three full sized horses a bath and got some pictures of them afterwards. It was really hot yesterday so the bath was refreshing for the horses as well as for myself

. I haven't gotten any nice pictures of the horses for a while so now that I have some updated pictures I figured I'd share them.

The horses weren't too thrilled about "posing" but we made do, my little sister helped hold the horses (she's my little barn buddy!

). I'm not too thrilled with the background in some of them either (the water trough, house, other horse) but oh well

First up was "Boogie", my 27 yr. old Quarter Horse rescue. It's been a little over a year since he was rescued from starvation. He recovered really quickly and is now in great health, he's still going strong and hitting the trails. He's a great/fun ride, always likes the be the leader and prances like a 2 yr. old Arabian all the way home!

.....had to split up the post as it said i had too many photos....the other two horses to follow....

Next was "Shadow", my 7 year old Morgan. He's a fantastic trail horse, I can take him literally ANYWHERE. He's such a sweet guy.

And lastly (but not least!) is the blonde Cody, my 4 yr. old solid Paint. He's being saddle trained right now and is well on his way to becoming a fantastic trail horse as well. He's my most personable and lovey horse I've ever owned.

This was his very first bath and he did so good, I was very proud of him.

THanks for letting me share!

Look at those shiny coats! They all are beautiful and, obviously, very loved and well-taken care of

Thanks guys, they are very much loved! Going through my parent's divorce the horses have been what I've been holding onto, I don't know what I would do without them.

Here are a few pics for comparison of Boogie last spring, these were taken 2 weeks after he was rescued.

They are all beautiful. You have done a great job in 1year on your rescue. Thanks for posting pictures of them. It was nice to see them.

You have three very beautiful horses there - their health and condition shines out from every picture

Many congratulations with Boogie (I too remember his story) you have achieved a miracle for that elderly gentleman
