I know I've said this before: I love my husband but sometimes.............

Today I'm making a blueberry coffeecake and I spent a good 20 minutes looking for my one cup liquid measuring cup. I know I'm getting old and I forget where I put things sometimes so I figured I had just put it someplace "special" and didn't remember. Not so.

I finally found it. In the garage. Hubby had been using it for....wait for it......measuring concentrated weed killer. Um, so now I'm going to put food in it? I think not. Honestly.

A new one measuring cup is on my grocery list even as I type.

. Ya gotta love them. I've had mine used for motor oil and kitchen knives become screwdrivers (which they were NOT designed for and end up ruined) Not like my husband doesn't have whole building full of tools of all kinds but I guess my stuff is handy at the time.

If it were a glass measuring cup, I might think twice about just washing it up and using; but if it were a plastic one, it wouldn't come back in the kitchen.

It's the opposite here. I am the culprit, using HIS tools and not putting them back. I think I even used some specialized pointy-thing for a nail punch and that was not it's intended function. Well, it was metal, and pointy! And it worked fine for setting my nail.

I wouldn't worry about the glass cup having weed killer. Glass washes fine, and we are not in the plant family, as I'm sure that was his "logic". But, maybe you'd better let him keep it, as he obviously needs one!

I agree that washing a glass one should make it safe. Sometimes I can't figure out how my husband's MANtality works. I don't even ask him anymore WHY on earth you did this or that? That way we can skip the possible answers of:

A. I didn't do anything wrong.

B. You' re the one who blah blah blah.

C. I wasn't thinking.

Even though I have a hard time holding my tongue, it just pays off in the case of asking him why he did anything. Gotta love 'em.

Hahaha.... I totally can relate, but in my case it was a funnel from the kitchen to the car...for adding oil.

But THEN...wait for it...I bought a new funnel for the kitchen. He lost the old one and I caught him sneaking out of the kitchen with my NEW FUNNEL! NOT!
