STRONG WINDS AND POOR VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW DEVELOPING TODAY INTO TONIGHT.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN MANITOBA WILL SLOWLY TRACK EASTWARD TODAY BRINGING SNOWFALL TO EAST CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN. 5 TO 10 CM OF SNOW FELL LAST NIGHT IN THE EAST CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN AND ANOTHER 5 TO 10 CM IS POSSIBLE TODAY BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF BY THIS EVENING. IN THE WAKE OF THIS SYSTEM, STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS OF 50 TO 70 KM/H HAVE DEVELOPED WITH GUSTS TO 80 KM/H IN REGINA AND THE WASCANA BASIN. THE STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH ANY LOOSE SNOW AND CAUSE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING SNOW WITH POOR VISIBILITIES LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF THE PROVINCE. AS A RESULT TRAVELLING CONDITIONS MAY BECOME POOR BY THIS EVENING. FARTHER WEST THE WINDS HAVE ALSO PICKED UP. HOWEVER, THE LACK OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AND THE LACK OF FALLING SNOW WILL STOP WIDESPREAD REDUCED VISIBILITIES FROM OCCURRING. THEREFORE, THE WEATHER WARNING HAS BEEN ENDED FOR THESE REGIONS.
