Just now saw this post...THANK YOU,my dear LB friends, for your good wishes!
69! Not sure where all those years went so fast...but some days, I wish I could have a few of them back!!
I don't 'feel' this old; feels just like the same me it always was, but then, there are days when the aging is 'painfully' obvious!
My dear middle daughter, as she always does, treated me to a great lunch out for the occasion...and the best of all? She told me that for my NEXT BD, she wanted to take me to see Yellowstone or Yosemite...a wish I'd expressed to get to do before I 'go'!!! I'm ALREADY excited! Any tips from those who've been to either would be HUGELY appreciated....
Wow what an exciting BD gift!!! I have been to both Yosemite and Yellowstone - when I was a lot younger - and I have to say one of the best trips I ever took (I used to travel quite a bit) was Yellowstone in WINTER. Almost no one there, you can see Old Faithful with no one in front of you (I'm short so that is a big plus!) and the wildlife and geysers in the winter are unbelievable. We were tripping over professional photographers wherever we went. Of course I went a few years ago but I think you can still travel by snow coach from Mammoth. I went to Yellowstone a few times in the summer and the winter trip was just SOOOOO much better.
