Hi

I said I would get pics, so here they are.

They are not very nice pictures, the minis had iced fur because of yesterday's storm and the black one had hay stuck to his back as he sleeps in it!

Also the hooves are very long, really, due for a trim, the farrier will be coming. We should have them in about 2 weeks. We need to make them a shelter.

Anxious to get them!

Let me know all what you think.

They are adorable! But goodness they need some food! Poor things.

Aww bless their little cotton socks - they are really cute, also they are very lucky to have found their way into such a caring and loving home.

A small word of advice. I know it is early days but you need to find a headcollar where the nose piece fits higher up near the bottom of his cheek bones, they should never be near the nostrils or the soft/weak end of the bone that comes down the front of the face.

Good luck with your sweet little boys - do please keep the pictures coming so we can watch them settle in and improve as you get them sorted out.

Aw, and talk about fuzzy little yaks, LOL I am sure you are totally excited and yes, they will be happy in your care I'm sure!!

Im very glad they have found you !!!!they do seriously need some tlc , some good feeding and a decent farrier but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how nice they will in the summer , they both have extremely pretty heads and I just love blue eyes on a dark body

Hi, horsesdances. I just sent you a private message about your blue eyed boy, on a long shot that he's a horse that I may have some info on. If he is, I can get you in touch with his two previous owners for detailed info about him, pictures, etc.

Thanks!! all of you!

really live the enthousiasm!

I can't wait to get the boys here

we will try to setup for them as quickly as we can

Yes tons of TLC we will give them

I am planning the worming and will searchthe forum asI already found out minis have more worming needs or specific compared to the bigger guys

I will also do research on feeding so I do it right for the minis and especially foals

Right now they have hay available at all times but beeing the 2 youngest of the herd they may not eat as much as they should. They will be together, just the 2 here

Right now I feed my horses 3 x a day and wonder if I should do the same with the minis or give them hay available at all times for the rest of the winter

Will look into pellets to

A big thanks about the alter issue. I do know and this was just a temporary halter the breeder provided for us to see them and separate them from the herd.

Don't worry, I know about halter fitting and I am already shopping for halters. They will be properly adjusted here and changed as needed when they g oitgrow them. I appreciate your advice very much, this is so important and I could have not been aware about this!

this forum is great!!
