Meet Charm. Not the mare i intended to get but i'm very happy to have the chance for her. Shes full AMHA imported from america (other mare was BMHS so less refined) 11yo i believe and a realy sweet mare. Shes moulting so a little itchy and rubby but ill soon clip her and solve that!

Shes been rubbing her tail a lot so there is not a huge amount of tail here but i'm just going to have to get creative! Its all experience

Oh she's cute! Congrats on your new girl!

The rubbing is most likely lice. If you can mix flea/tick dog shampoo and spray it into her tail (at roots) and work it in, that'll help. Along the mane too.

I tell ya, it will stop her itching and it sure couldn't hurt. In my experience tail rubbing is lice or worms. Check under her mane near the roots if it looks spotty it's lice. It happens if they get it from others, no biggie

Congratulations she is adorable. What are her lines? She reminds me of the buckeroo bred horses, cause of the way she is standing in the bottom pic. My mare does that, very cute

Ahha very nice I'm sure she will be awesome clipped. Post pics when you clip her. I'll be excited to see what's under there.

I have one pic of her in her glory and she is so nice. I am very excited :D

We have a show in two weeks, just so i can see how she is in the public as shes not shown in a few years. But she has been so calm today i don't think we will have a problem. She gets a bit happy but is very easy to pull back and her trot is to die for.

I need to work on MY trot :/ #unfit

Congratulations!

She is very pretty and love that big eye and love that bay color.

Having said that, however, I know that minis are really multiple colors! You may think you have a bay/sorrel/chestnut, etc. and then find out in the summer or winter or whenever you clip, you actually have a cream/gray/brown/ etc................

Enjoy her - she looks like a lot of fun!

When clipped she will be a lot lighter but when the coat is out a bit she really is just the same colour. Ive seen her in all stages as i have known her for a few years now

Very lovely mare. Congrats! If you cannot find any evidence of live, you can try spraying some antiseptic mouthwash on the dock of her tail. Sometimes they get a fungus around there and the mouthwash stops the itching. Good luck

Yes i will probably drive her too, shes the perfect size and seems smart. I like to train them all to drive anyway, gives them all a bit of independence, patience and training which is never a bad thing.

oh Hayley you lucky thing ! I didn't know Charm was for sale , Ive always liked her !
