Midnight Star Stables would like to present "Town & Country Pat" or a.k.a. JO JO (Which may soon be known as Nitro)! :aktion033: :new_multi: At the moment he is 100% stallion, but not for long! :aktion033: I can't wait to geld him, clip him and start training! He will be my show gelding this year, so guys, keep your eyes pealed! We're coming! He's gonna be my jumping champion! He is a 35.50", AMHR reg., perlino hairy, chubby boy, and I could be more happy! He is such a FAST learner, he will be one of the best geldings ever! I am really really happy with him

: But he does need a neck sweat, he has one of those thick stallion necks, that many have

Ok, he arrived at 2:00pm today. Brad said he was great on the whole trip. My mom who really didn't want him(well not 'him' she just didn't want another mini) spent 30 minutes with him. I got home a 4:00 and grabbed my camera and ran to the barn. I gave kisses and treats to Midnight, Billy & Joy, making my way to his stall. I went in his stall & sat there for 20 minutes with no sign of him coming over so I got up & slowly when neared his side. He was fearful until I gave him a Stud Muffin Treat... It was love! He followed me around the stall, so I grabbed a lead and led him around my barn. He sniffed around and I brushed him a bit. I practiced setting up and some obstacle. All light and fun. I put him back in his stall.

Later I got joy out, for her daily groom. JO JO whinnied, then Midnight, then Billy, then Joy, then JOJO again  It was very cute.

: I brushed the others & feed them dinner. I finally went up to the house at 7:15pm, I was so cold & tired :bgrin

Oh nice boy! Congrats! How exciting! Have fun with him. :aktion033:

If you could win ribbons for your enthusiasm and excitement, you'd be a National Champion for sure, Desiree!!! :aktion033: Congratulations, and best wishes for a very successful show season this year!

So what is his pedigree?

Thanks Judy
default_wub.png
: He'll be my National horse next year, weather we win or not :aktion033:

So what is his pedigree?
His Sire is Bambis Rowdy Piper (whos grandsire is Dell Teras Clown) and his Dam is Benview's Bonita, who is daughter of Little Toddy Jr...(I've never heard of him...) He was breed & 'raised' by Joe and Doreen Skinner in Mitchell, Ontairo.

Is Joe still around? Just woundering if any one knows of him personally :saludando:

I know he has faults, but I really Love him

Desiree, first off - don't be putting your new boy down and saying he has faults and he has a stallion neck to sweat off...the fact is that YOU like him JUST the way he is so don't worry about impressing the rest of us! We can clearly see how gorgeous your new guy is, even in winter woolies!

He is beautiful! I can't wait to see him clipped down, and you're right he does look a lot like my new stallion, Chase!! boy we should end up at a show together lol just so we can be the bobsy twins!

What a beauty, I am so happy to hear you're so thrilled that he is finally home, be sure to keep us updated on his progress!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033:

WOW... :new_shocked: Hey there..... CONGRATULATIONS!!! You just joined the "Quic Silver" club with my sister Janie and I... LOL!! (We bought Mr Bucks from Erica...

Hey... Sunny... You had a Full Sister to my JO JO(or Nitro)! I googled his sire & it showed your Sales page... But she is no longer there. Could you please post a picture? She'd be 3 this year.

Steffanie(I think that's right) Thank you so much! I can't wait to meet you in person, I think very highly of you, and I can't wait for your spotted foals in the future :aktion033:

I also want to add, Nitro(or JO JO) is very white, but my camera is giving him a yellow or red shade, and he is not. I believe he is a perlino

I want to thank every one else too :aktion033: I got up really early to go see him

So this is who you were all excited about!! I can see why Desiree, he is going to make an awesome gelding!!! Congrats!

Way to go Des!!! Geldings are the best!! You will have so much fun with him!! Bud had a really huge neck as a stallion too and once it was sweated off it never came back like that again. We will look forward to seeing you at the shows!!! :aktion033:

You can just tell - you two are going to be very happy together!! Congratulations!!!

Desiree,

Yes you got my name right (Steffanie) even spelled it correctly! I am so proud =) I wanted to mention that sometimes the camera brings out colors in your horses that the naked eye cannot see! Like with Chase, when I look at him he is solid white, no doubt about it (except for some silver on his face) but when Cindy took photo's of him before I picked him up - this is what her camera caught:

ChaseSide31-06.jpg

See how you can clearly see his snowcap on his butt, and the light silver dapple of his body? This was taken in January and I tell you, I can stare at him ALL DAY and not see an ounce of color on his body!!! Your camera picking up those reddish tinges are a sure sign that you have a perlino! Here's a line of info for you from horses-etc.com:

"The perlino color is the buckskin color with one more cream gene added. The buckskin is a bay horse with one cream gene, and the perlino is a bay horse with two cream genes. Or, you could say it's a buckskin with one more cream gene added. These horses have cream colored body hair and a darker yellow, tan or orange cast to their manes & tails."

Hope this helps! I would love to meet you some day soon too, let me know if you hear of any shows going on this summer that we could meet halfway at or something! I would love to meet you and your beautiful new guy!

WOW You're excitement and enthusiasm is about to blow me off my mountain!

Congratulations Little Buddy! I wish you a zillion years of much love and luck with him.

Desiree..

What a beautiful boy. :aktion033: :aktion033: With your enthusiasm, and his looks you will do well and have a lot of fun.

It's wonderful to see someone so excited. He's a very lucky horse indeed, you both are to have found

each other. Enjoy yourselves!
