Holy crap it is cold

Keep an eye on the old folks and the babies this week guys and gals. I was going to bring Taron in (my 29 year old Arab), but he gets so anxious when he is away from Romeo and Chic that I left him out. The cold didn't seem to be phasing him anyway, it was probably more for my peace of mind than his! I tell ya, I did chores in a sweatshirt on Monday and was hot and this morning I looked like the abomidable snowman and froze! Winter is here.

Not sure where you are located, but I am in sunny Arizona and I had to remove a half inch of ice from the water buckets this morning!!! It was 23 degrees this morning! And I live in one of the warmer parts of the state- not far outside of Phoenix!!

We're having a heat wave... It was 7 above without wind this morning when I fed. So much better than yesterday's 7 below plus nasty wind.

Our time is coming it was 65 yesterday and its suppose to be in the mid 20's today or tommorow with heavy snow.

it is 70 here right now but we could get 1 inch of frozen stuff by tomorrow, should drop 40 degrees here by this after noon. That is Arkansas for u. Don't like the weather, just hang around, it will change ,often!!

Had the AC on yesterday, and tonight it's going into the 20's. It was 67 when I got up this morning, and here it is at 11: 00 down to 40's. Rain, windy, and cold. Did someone forget the reason we moved to Texas was to get out of the cold?

Ha ha, I said the same thing about MN. If you don't like the weather, wait half and hour and it will change. We're in southeastern MN. For us, Rochester is 'up north'. he he

We broke a 110 year old record this week when the temperature went down to -30, but it was -40 with the windchill. But it's all good now because the chinook has arrived! It was unbelieveably windy all night, but it's right at freezing this morning ... which absolutely feels tropical! I heard it's supposed to be 11 degrees Celcius on the weekend ... that's quite a turnaround!

This has definitely been a very weird fall indeed!! We should be down into the 40's or 50's by now and we're at a balmy 70 degrees! I keep my Weather Bug to Oklahmoa and New Jersey and I can't believe how cold they are this morning right now actually...19 degrees!!! :new_shocked: We should be moderating back to our norm here pretty soon. Feels eeiry tho..... One thing about New Jersey weather, it does not change quickly...we usually have a few days as we go from one extreme to another...which is a good thing!

Today on the NY/Pa border it is 64 at 12:30pm, the last 2 weeks have been unbelievably balmy for November BUT a cold fronts comin tonite and our highs for thext week are in the 30s. I'm as ready as I can be.

okay, well now i feel bad! i was just complaining about how "freezing" i am in 64 degree weather, and very sunny. tomorrow it will be highs 73. and i'm cold. maybe cuz i continue to go outside in t-shirts, but....ouch, i'd hate to be in snow right now. i love the snow, really i do, but i don't miss the cold that comes with it! (i used to live in Iowa, where summer temps could be 110, winter temps could be -10). now i guess i've lived in california just long enough to spoil myself into thinking 60 is really cold!!!!

After our deep freeze of -40 something it's now up to -13 this morning and it still feels like -30 because that CRAPPY wind just won't let up and it's totally white out there from the blowing snow real hard to see. But at least it's suppose to get warmer for the weekend and then BBQ time and lawn chairs.

Yesterday Thursday Nov 29 we hit a record high of 67 buy Friday the temperature will drop and we are wxpecting a snow storm. Today much colder and rain.

We are at 13 degrees here in Northern Utah at nearly noon. :cold: :cold: :cold:

It's been a record cold for us for the last few days, more like January than the end of November. Right before this we had record WARM temps.

The horses seem to be dealing with the cold just fine. I am SO thankful for my automatic waterers with heaters! No messing with hauling water or draining hoses or cracking ice out of buckets.

That is the worst part of this weather. I hate not being able to clean outside pens and I have company coming tomorrow it looks AWFUL!

I just came in from cleaning the barn it is 19 here BUURRR

Only horse I am worried about is Ravens pony she is 18 and been a CA horse all her life she isnt drinking as much as I would like but I am doubling up on her beet pulp now.

My friend in So Cal was just yesterday laughing about my having to drain my hose every day well she went out this morning and was in shock that not only did her buckets freeze but her hose did as well
