How bad is the need?

I am kind of thinking about starting a mini rescue. I have 2 already that were not really rescued, but needed a new home. Well, Rocky needed rescuing but I had to buy him from a dealer. Anyway, I was wondering what it takes to get started and if there is even a need at all? I have 22 acres and 28 years with horses, so I am ready there. Seems like there are a lot of people who rescue animals and also like there are a lot of non-profit places also. Just wondering. Maybe planning.

I am actually thinking that fostering might be a good way to start too. That way I could plan better IF I did open my own rescue. I don't want to end up being a rescue that needs rescuing!! :new_shocked:
