My grandmother recently passed away, and is being buried monday. With everything going on, we have decided not to have a big elaborate easter dinner. This year it will just be me, hubby, and my parents. Since it's only the four of us, we decided on a whim to get one of those small hams. Im really not sure what to call it, its boneless, about the size of a football, and almost looks like a "log" of lunch meat before its cut. Normally we make a spiral ham, but theres just too much going on, and no ones really in the spirit of celebrating.

Now, the day before easter, I just realized, im not sure if I just cook this like a normal ham, or what? I usually do coke and brown sugar, sometimes pineapple. Will that work with this little ham, or should I try something else?

The minimum you have to do is just warm it up, as it's already fully cooked. I do think, however, it would be good with any of your usual embellishments. I guess the main thing would be to not over-cook it so as to dry it out. Hope that helps, but you probably already figured it out already!

Having never cooked with soda pop before, I have no idea on that one. But we have had a couple just-for-two holidays and done a small ham or a small turkey and I did them just like I would the regular ones, I just watched the time really close.

Sorry thinkgs have been tough for you. It's nice that you are planning a small celebration. Sometimes, those can be the best.

Those kind of hams only need to be baked for at least an hour and then add your side dishes....... They are already pre-cooked!
