How to keep a ear bonnet on?

I made a ear bonnet for my mini horse but she won’t wear it that long until she shakes it off. How do I keep it on? She looks adorable in it!!

Most people put bridles on when they use bonnets, so that helps hold it in place. She does look super cute!

Mine has a tie. I goes around the head under the jaw. I don't think it could stay on without a tie. Mine stays on great, even while driving.

That is amazing needlework!! I think if you make another you might make the ears a little larger and less space between the ears.

Oh the blue yarn has a sparkly in it. Very nice. I like the idea of a tie, it would be cute with wide ribbon that would make a big bow to the underside neck area.

The tie on mine is crocheted. It is thin and barely noticeable. Perfect.

Ok took this advice and…. I made a new one. Their is a crochet strap that I tie under her chin in a box knot. She gave it the shake test and it passed… whoooo here it is
