I just got an e-mail from Shawna , we have been writing back and forth about Hilary's birthday present which is almost done and looks fantastic!!! she just told me that Beebop apparently reinjured himself, he could hardly stand on his own today, so she had to make that decision we all dread having to make, and let him go. since i've seen posts on Beebop's progress before I wanted to let you all know, I'm sure she could use our support at this terrible time!

So let's all send {{{{{hugs}}}}} to Shawna and prayers that she will get through this day...

Thanks guys. It just doesn't seem right. He had been doing so good but we've had such nasty weather this year and so much mud and ice, we think he must have slipped and done more damage to himself. This morning he could barely stand and kept leaning his rearend into the barn just for support. He laid down in his barn this morning and I held his head in my lap for an hour. I miss him so much all ready. He was my buddy and the clown of the farm. When the vet got here and did the deed, he went quickly. The vet said for him to go that fast he was ready.

Run free my love! I'll see you on the other side.

I'm so sorry Shawna. He looked like a beautiful, sweet boy! It's so hard to make that decision when they're basically healthy but have a leg injury they can't recover from. Unfortunately, "no legs, no horse" is far too true. I had to put my big quarter horse down when he was still in his prime from a leg injury....hurts sooo bad. I really feel for you right now.
