I had my hip repair surgery in December and as of now I am feeling 98% and am back to exercising daily and can walk with no pain.
The only thing that hurts is the "stradeling position" and I saw the doc yesterday and he really didn't seem hopeful about me riding again
I haven't ridden but a few times since May of last year. He said since my injury first occured after I got my horses again I should really be careful if I attempt to ride - I had a bad tear in my left hip which he repaired and he seemed to think it may not "stretch out" like it used too - he told me to remember I am not 20 and that I did give birth to 4 huge babies which probably put a lot of wear and tear on my hips. (Gosh...I was one of those girls who could plop down into a chinese split until I was 30 LOL darn it's heck to be 40) I am the only one in my house that rides and my husband's logic is if I can't ride them why have them - I kind of agree in that they are expensive and they "need" someone to ride them. He did say I can keep my donks and oh how they make me smile
