I got hired to teach classes online over the summer!! I always wanted to do online teaching. I am a traditional teacher but wanted to break into online as well. And finally I was able to get my foot in the door. It doesnt pay a lot but it is a start. Whhhaaa Whoooooo

That's great news! How does it work? Do you need to set up a video of some sort, like Skype, so your students can see you and interact? Or do you come up with lesson plans and post them online, and have students send you their homework online to grade? Sounds like you'll really enjoy it! What company are you working for? It all sounds very interesting! And what will you be teaching?

Congratulations! I've been teaching on-line for two years now (American Literature to about 130 juniors/seniors a semester) and I really like it! It's nice to not have to deal with classroom distractions like announcements and requests to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. The school I teach for is quite large (3000 students) and public, so we have a wide variety of students to serve. Our curriculum is also very good, in some cases even harder than anything I ever taught in a brick and mortar school.

I hope you enjoy your students and teaching on line. I was surprised how well I could get to know my kids, in spite of the lack of physical proximity.

I have a meeting on Wed and a demo class on Thur. It is online and SKype. It sounds really cool!! Since it is my first class it will be a basic class. I will know for sure next wk. I am just so excited they are trying to become a chrter school and give more hrs when the school yr start. I will update for sure!!

And yes Miss Laurie you are missing sooo much! I dont know how to function wout your daily advice
