I got something special in the mail, it's been all over the US

on the porch right now that it would lose the importance of what it means....This little package was mailed months ago, it left Washington State and has been to Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan and it finally made its way back to me in Oklahoma where it was intended to go. When I got the notice from the Postmaster to please come by the Post Office to claim a package, I thought it was strange, but I went anyhow....I did not recognize the return name on the box...Art said what is that, who is it from? I don't know, but it is from a miniature horse farm and it is from Washington State and I don't know anyone from there....I am not asking for anyone to post to say "PLEASE TELL US"!!!!! I am saying that things are not the same on the porch as it used to be. A place that we could "ALL" come and sit, drink our coffee and talk about "everything", and truely enjoy each others company thru the good and the bad..the laughter and the mannnnnnnnyyyyyyyy tears that most of us have shed here. I know that I have...So when the fires die down and the porch has a welcome sign on it again, I will tell you about the special package that traveled coast to coast before it finally made it to me, and the special person (on this forum) who took time out of her busy life and thought of me...

Y'know what, love pretty much conquers all and there is a lot of that, here, respect and care are the most obvious in this community known as LB/The Back Porch.

I have a feeling I know what it is from the clues given, but even if I don't, it's obvious that it reinforced that wonderfulness that is the human spirit, and when many of them get together with a common interest, not all their opinions will agree, but it's again obvious that we care about each other deeply.

We DO ALL care for and about each other. Most of us will probably never met each other, only know of each other from photos posted here, but we all feel/have a connection, a bond that is beyond belief. That is why it is so hurtful to see what has happened to friendships lately....

I will add what I received in the mail, I do know that everyone cares, and I just wanted everyone to stop and think, was it really worth it, all that has been said and done in the last few months? I want to shine the light on a Forum member, who thought of me in one of the darkest and most troubling times in my life.....

I was crying as I read the letter. When I saw what it was, I burst into tears. SOOOOOOOOO many memories came flooding back that I thought were healed. Ziggi was/is our "Dillinger's Whispering Hope Of Redemption". This "gift" was meant to make me smile and to show that a "perfect" stranger cares...It certainly does make me smile and I can't wait to fill it up with that "special picture" on each page.

What a wonderful gift - I can see why you had tears!!! I can't begin to say how much this forum helped me when I went through my ordeal with Dawn - I needed all the prayers and good thoughts so much. Not to mention when my little Dream Girl was born in May and came down with pneumonia almost immediately - once again I had so many prayers & good thoughts - not to mention encouragement. Once again it worked.

This forum family is a great family - yes, like any other family, there are problems or disagreements once in a while. But, yes, they do eventually pass.

Theresa - enjoy your gift (and please give Ziggy and especially Dreamer a hug from me). I hope some day we can meet in person.
