I have a Mare Stare Cam now

I have a mare that I believe will foal in the next 2 days. I keep track of everthing and she is right on track for being close to foaling. I am leaning towards Wed but it could be any time. Anyhow, I joined Mare Stare because this particular mare has not set my Breeder Alert off in her 2 foalings with me. I think she does not lay out flat so the beeper doesn't go off. And she foals fast. Her last foal I dozed and a couple minutes later woke up thank goodness as she had foaled and the foal was still in the sac. So if anyone is up the next couple of nights and sees her go in to labor please call......... Like I said, it am guessing it won't be tonight but possible tomorrow night or Wed. I will know more tomorrow when I test her. She has foaled at what she tested tonight. But she just doesn't seem quite ready to me yet.

I won't be up that late (watching a mare of mine that I hope foals tonight) but will watch until I go to bed, whenever that may be!

Thanks Becky. If the screen is black that means we got a phone call. I am limiting our calls or asking that they call back on my cell phone....lol. But I am taking a horse to Midwest Horse Fair in April and that was what the call was about so I had to take it..........

She seems really restless. Is this normal for her?

Normally she just stands in the back of the stall. She doesn't like the mare we had to put next to her on Saturday. So she was really restless because of that. But she doesn't seem to mind her anymore. So it just maybe that she is getting close. I am still thinking tomorrow or the next night.

As restless as she is, it may be closer than you think!

Star is testing ready. And of course I have to go to work. But my dear friend is coming to baby watch. So hopefully today I will have my first baby

Hi Tami, I have her up with a few others I am watching, I just saw your Friend in there checking on her and picking hte stall, she is doing a lot of kicking and tail swishing, Prayers for a easy foaling, Ihope she waites till you get home.

Mine are not due till May but I still keep a check on the close ones as do others.

I found your post on Mare stare, why it bypassed me before I have no clue, old age I guess.

The more eyes the better, looking at her now she just laid down.

This one just foaled ( I came in on the tail end!) Looks like a pretty black and white Pinto. Hasn't even gotten to stand up yet and she is still dealing with the plecenta. Congrats Tammy!
