Hello, everyone.. Now that everyone is tucked into bed, I just had to tell someone--whew!! Man, was today a long one.

: My son turned 12 yesterday, and we had his party today.. Not only do I feel old(Istill can't believe he is 12), but 8 kids and a house full that lingered from 12 to 7 sure made it a long one. Hubby had to work today, so this was his first B day party he missed of Jamie's.. I got to play hostess to 10 adults and 8 kids..(And none of hubby's family came

: won't go there.) The fun really began when my daughter started beating all the boys up with her power ranger sword.(That thing can really sting- believe me I know i got it too. ) Then everyone went out for fun in the snow, but sorry didn't get any pic's of the lawn mower sled pulling fun.. I just can still hear all the voices in my head... :ugh: Just wanted to vent and share a photo of my b-day boy.. He is bigger than me and only 12.. :new_shocked:

ANd a pic of his cake that I revamped. It was suppose to be a farm scene.(But it was all animals) So I beefed it up more to the likings of 12 yr olds. (Notice my son made sure the horses stayed on

Boy can I relate. My son (also named Jamie) just turned 13 on the 1st. Since he has never had a big B'day party so we figured why not he is officially a teenager. Well it turned into 8 13-14 year olds boys at my house for a slumber party....what was I thinking  Pizza hut, skating (whole story in itself -another party at Pizza hut all 13 yr old girls ) and then up until 3 in the morning and then another whole day. It was definitely interesting, hormonal boys sure do talk about the darndest things, especially when they don't realize that the basement vent is right below my bedroom vent and mom is listening, the stories I could tell.

It was fun, but boy am I glad I only have one kid. How in the world do you guys do it that have lots of kids? I would be in the loony ward.

Oh man I have to jump in on this one! My son turned 11 on Feb 12th so we had the crazy idea to have a slumber party too. Six 11 year old boys plus our 8 and 4 year old daughters, my husband and myself. Movie and pizza in there too. Originally took two cars because my Yukon only seats 8 people but my husband's car broke down on the way so we loaded ALL of us into the Yukon, fitting 10 people into an eight seater and one was a state cop's son! :new_shocked: Oopsie.

After the tiring escapades of the movie and pizza parlor I had to drive us all home towing my husband's car behind us in fog so thick I couldn't see more than 100 feet in front of me. To top it off, now that we have moved to the boonies, it was an hours drive home in this heavy fog!

Get the kids all home and think "Whew! Time to let them play basketball by the light of the moon

: then maybe some video games or another movie to calm them down before bed. But...OH NO...the power goes out! Yep, 10 people, 8 of which are rambunctious kids, and no power in complete darkness. Interesting.

Next day, same story. Still no power but now with pouring down rain outside so for entertainment, they did what all 11 year old boys like to do to entertain themselves...they WRESTLED! I didn't mention that I still had to feed them all breakfast with no power to cook by and oops, forgot to get the milk at the store for cereal. I must say, I am still recovering a week later. And to think...I don't have to do it again until July when the next birthday rolls around!
