Icelandic Sheep Dogs

Stumbled on the breed via Facebook......... Larry is IN LOVE........(God help us)

There is NO WAY we are getting another purebred dog without researching the crud out of it. And, besides we already have several dogs....(two purebred, two rescues)

So, since we are at least researching at the moment, I thought I'd ask the forum if anyone knows about the breed.

The pups are adorable (what puppies aren't?) and the adults are handsome and sound like a good working farm dog.

They are good family and live stock dogs, some lines tend to be a bit barky.

Know of a few people that breed them. One even has puppies right now but I do not know if they are spoken for. Let me know and will get their email for you.

There are a couple of other people that have them, will have to ask if they still breed.

YOU are the reason why Larry started looking into the Icelandic Sheep dogs! Thanks for the link. We'll keep it available......and no we aren't ready for a puppy (Yet)

Then you have Icelandic sheep and I know someone that has Icelandic Chickens, always wanted some of those. No Icelandic goats or Cows in the US that I know of. But there was someone looking into bringing some goats over, not sure if anything ever came of that.
