: with no power or phone most of the time either!

It has been brutally cold here high winds and temps in the minus 15 with the wind chill.

I lost power Friday .........no Forum to heck with the cold its this place I missed most!

I hope you all behaved while I wasn't watching!

We are so lucky(or as old yankees we were prepared) we have a woodstove in the cellar, plenty of wood, gravity feed water we can hook up to,lanterns etc.

But many others don't and it is so cold that when you step outside the wind hits your face and you get that awful headache? Still so very very cold and I worry about other peoplewho are not so prepared

Horses were snug inside with hay in front of them 24-7 and while the heated buckets were out we heated water on the woodstove to bring up.

I hope it stays on now for awhile

See Bonnie, you guys REALLY need to move down here to a warmer climate where loosing electric isn't an issue

I have never been in real cold weather in my life. I think I've seen 2 degrees once while in Colorado for a visit but here in Texas it rarely gets below 20. Your weather sounds painful to the body but I guess you get used to it. Glad the little guys are warmly settled inside. They probably handle your cold weather better than humans do. Glad your power is back up and you can get online.

: Missed seeing you here too~

Glad you're back girl!

Come on down to Arkansas or even Oklahoma. We're kinda chilly right now, but nothing like up there!

Glad you're warm and safe as well as all your 4 legged kids!
