I never do this, but with my many days with Prints, can I add my little ditty?

Here I sit, one more night, no sleep,

my baby with a fever and feeling some heat.

Her knees all swollen and walking so limp,

what I recall, is her moms force, and causing my gimp.

She was born minus the means, to drink from her mare,

two weeks of watching her, it was more of a glare.

And then CHOKE, who do I call, who do I get,

just throw her in the truck and off to the vet.

Many a phone calls, many a vet,

just now what did Little Miss Prints get?

One hundred here, one thousand there, it is a fact,

the vets are all now driving a Cadillac!

I go to the forum for yet more advice,

Oh no it's Carolyn, yet another sacrafice.

She doesn't get colic, or ask of hay,

it's just some of her crap or the girls in nightshade.

Others ask of shows and what to do for wins,

and she is telling us of her twins.

Members are concerned with a stallion and his will,

and Frankie, again, oh no it's joint ill.

So this is my thought, my itty bitty farm,

none has cost me my leg, only my arm.

When all is said, and done, and through.

Carolyn has made a million on a book titled, "It can sure happen to You"

It's so sad when our beloved pets get so sick like this,

We don't know where it went wrong, or what symptom did we miss.

We try and try to always do things perfectly to the letter,

and it's so hard to help them to get better.

Seems like it's something going on every single day

Did the feed get wet or is there mold in the hay?

We check our fences to be sure they are safe,

and pull out bad weeds that may have grown all over the place.

No matter what we do and no matter how hard we try,

when our animals are hurting, it makes us just hold our heads down and cry.

But we persevere because we can't live without them at all,

I can't imagine having to stand in the field with no one to call.

All the good still outweighs the bad

it's just that sometimes things happen that make us too sad.

So here we sit with our plate full of trouble

But it's much better than having to live in a bubble.

Now come on little Prints, get up and be well

You can do it little sweetie, I know I can tell!

We know you are weak and don't feel well at all,

So I've called on an Angel to stay with you in the stall.

Prayers will come from the heart, yes it is true

and more prayers for your mommy, we'll pray for her too.
