I have been fighting my feelings on my little begal boy who I got in 2008. I knew that a unnutered male was a bad ideal but figured I would get him anyway. I planed on having him fixed but kept putting it off. Well I have him 90% house broken but he has a bad habbit of peeing while he walks, (only in the house). I have a new home with baby blue carpeting and my little guy just kept peeing once in awhile no matter what. Well after 15 months I finally made a vet appointment to get him fixed as hes ruining my house and my hubby is very upset that he wont stop peeing while he walks. Last week he finally hit sexual peek and now has begun to mark in my house which is not cool. I do have a fixed female pit/lab mixed which he keeps trying to mount but gets bite everytime as shes not interested.
Today I made a very tough desision to find him a new home and placed a add on craiglist. I kept his vet appointment just incase no one was interested in him that way I can see if all else fails fixing him might work even though everyone says its too late.
5 minutes after posting, I had a older guy contact me and said he seen my little guy on the computer and wanted to know more about him. So I told him his bad habbits and how i love him and if he was ment to stay with me then so be it. The guy said it was really weird that he just lost his lab of 12 yrs last week and never wanted another dog again. Also said he NEVER plays on the computer but happen to for some reason today. Also he loves to bunny hunt with his son and his 2 begals as well.
As we talked he said that soon as he seen my add and a photo of my little boy named Waylynn, he knew he was ment to have that dog. We talked and he asked if I was for sure that I ready to let him go and I said yes regretfully. 1 hr later the guy and his son drove over a hr on the bad snow covered roads to come and see/meet waylynn. He loved him and told me he feels that it was faite that he seen me trying to find a good loving home for my boy and how he lost his best friend and didnt even want to look at another dog and soon as he seen his add know he they belonged with each other. His son said it was really weird that this happened as he has been trying to confert his dad in his loss and how out of the blue he found him a new best friend that not only will love him but can train and take hunting too.
So now I cry cause my little dog is gone BUT I could'nt be more happier that he went to a home where he will be muched loved like i gave him and mend a old mans heart from the loss of his own pet. We both agreed that this was ment to be and it eases my heart that my little waylynn has a awesome new home where the old man can continue to train him and enjoy him forever...
I will miss him but so happy that he now makes someone else happy as well.
