Last month a lady by the name of Jackie contacted me. Her and her husband own a company called Storyline and her husband is a professional photographer who takes pictures of horses and other animals for calendars, books, magazines, etc. She said her and her husband would be in Tennessee in October and asked if I would be interested in letting them come out to take fall pictures of my horses to possibily be used in a 2011 Miniature Horse Calendar. WELL YEAH!!

She informed me they were interested in taking pictures of Jinx

and some of the weanlings. They wanted the horses left in their nature states, just bathed. No problem I can do that!!

Jackie called last week to confirm everything for today. Yesterday I was busy bathing the 6 horses for the shoot; Jinx, Rumour (Jinx's daughter that you will finally get to meet), Jr, Lil T, Promise, and Love.

Today before Jackie & Mark arrived I received an email from Jackie asking if I had two or three mares I could clean up for today as well, so back down to the barn I went and bathed Rhythm and Glory.

Jackie and Mark arrived early this afternoon and spent a good two hours here today clicking away. First Mark took hundreds of pictures of the weanlings. When I first turn the babies out, they of course took off. All of a sudden they stopped, lined up side by side and faced Mark at full attention. He laughed and said did you teach them that? lol Nope!

I had told Jackie if they wanted I could turn Jinx out with the weanlings as he won't hurt them. I think they were both surprised when I let Jinx loose and he went trotting over to the kids and promptly joined them in grazing. I heard Mark say "WOW, I can't believe this" as he clicked away. Jackie asked what would happen if I turned the two mares out, I said well Jinx will take off with them thats about it. So, out went Glory & Rhythm.

I had told Jackie if best scenery for the pictures would be the pasture up by the house, and you'll see why as I'll post several pictures.

Mark said he is sure he got some nice pictures and will send me some proofs, which I'll share when I recieve them. He'll also let me know if any of the pictures taken today will be used. And of course, I'll let the world know that too! lol

The pictures I'm sharing now were taken either by my dad or myself. And Mark & Jackie said it was fine to post pictures with them in the pic.

Most of the pictures I didn't crop because I wanted everyone to get an idea of the view.

You interested in adopting a 42 year old woman, her 49 year old hubby and 24 minis, 11 cats and 7 dogs? We won't take up much room.

How cool is that? Please do post the pics they took later!

Great pictures Sheryl. Thanks for sharing. Next year you will have to name one of your fillies Calendar Girl LOL. Hope they use your pictures. Take Care Walt & Frannie. ( Tired just thinking of walking up thse hills)

Thanks everyone for the compliments. The scenery here is beautiful year round, that is for sure.

Frannie, my legs were aching a little yesterday evening, you do kinda get use to the hills.

Sandy come on over with your camera and a couple of your kids. We have a creek that runs into the lake a few miles down the road. There is a really nice place to take pictures of the horses in the creek. Here's a picture of Jinx in the creek. It would be nice to fence the area off there and turn a horse loose in that spot for pics.

Janet, Lil T is looking really good. I swear he is going to mature out looking identical to his father build wise.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful horses! I love seeing the hills. Here in Central Ohio it is so FLAT!

Oh Cool! That's Mark Barrett right! They called me last year to take pictures of my miniature mules but of course the weekend they scheduled, we got a late snowstorm and the pasture we had access to was too soggy.
