Jingle Bells

Many of you have exciting training breakthroughs and events to tell about. I enjoy reading them so much and learning!

I just wanted to post that Dusty wore his sleigh bells today on our drive and took it like a pro. I'm not sure if he actually enjoyed them, or perhaps listening to them kept him very focused. We had an enjoyable drive.

I wanted to wait and try it with my husband home, in case there was excitement, but Dusty had no problems. I think we are ready for a public jingle bell appearance. What a good boy!

It actually didn't take much. I jingled them every time I went in and out of the barn, laid them across his back a few times. He is very sensible, and at 3 1/2 he is much more mentally mature than just a few months ago. His reaction the first time I introduced them made me worry, but he wore them just fine.

I do plan to be cautious for a few times, and not do anything unduly stressful to add to their noise. They ARE noisy!
