Since I had to let my Treasure go over the bridge, life has been pretty hard. I haven't been here in weeks and I was just so sad. A wonderful woman (thanks B) told me I'd better watch out and get selfish and take a break away so I did. Took a wonderful 5 day trip in a huge circle from my place wayyyy up north to Sacketts Harbor then east and south to Lake George and south to PA then home today. The leaves were magnificent, it was sure "cold" but I left everything behind and rested and ate wonderful stuff, had wine and chocolates every nite, discovered the joy of a "jacuzzi". I am home refreshed and feeling a but sore but whole again.
Now about "Kim, from Crabby Chicken....I need to contact this woman, this amazing woman. I wish to actually speak to her so anyone PM me this info....see...I came home today late and there was huge package waiting for me. I was baffled...I tore the wrapping to see my lovely Treasure looking into my eyes. Kim painted her portrait from her last picture. She captured her spirit and soul so completely.
Kim, I did cry....I really did but it was a good cry not the hearbreaking cry I have been doing. How does one thank someone for something so amazingly exquisite and original. This painting will be a "treasure", my whole life and Kim....Treasure was also Aidan's "pony" and I will bequeath this to him so it stays in my family always. Thank you so so much but please let me call you and thank you proper.
I will post a pic of this painting tomorrow so you can all see it's beauty. It's nice to be back. Debs
Not to minimize it's importance, but our Jane, my dear friend, sent me a lovely hug bear also to brighten my darkness. Jane always knows when I am at my darkest. So many folks have been so loving so supportive during this loss of mine. Treasure was my special girl and I will miss her always but the incredible pain has eased and I can live again.
