The lost Lark is home in her bed safe and sound tonight thanks to VA Dachshund rescue who contaceted Dinwiddie animal control for me for a trap and God for dirrecting her into the "crate" and Bonnie for telling her not to be afraid to listen for me and come if I call. I prayed all afternoon that God would tell her to "find the crate". I didnt call it a trap. Bonnie said she was in such a tizzy she couldnt think straight. People had seen her near the picnic area and had put food out for her so she didnt lose much weight but they could never catch her. At 430 the animal control officer went to check the trap and said she had put it where people had seen her. I told her that I didnt feel that she was there anymore and to move the trap down over the hill where she first dissapeared. Barry and I went at 7 prepared to sit for a few hours with our stud muffin Coco in an xpen to call her and my shirt to put in the trap but she was already in it when we got there! PRAISE GOD!!!!! :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033: She is stiff behind and has a cut in her right arm pit, (Bonnie said she was sore in her hip area from running back and forth all day and that her right front was sore) probably from the cut. WE pulled 10 ticks off her but that is the extent of her injuries. I think she is still stunned that she was found. She kissed me and thats the first time she has EVER shown me affection. She also ate half my hamburger! Anyway, Thank you all for your prayers and concerns for her return she is safe in her bed now and her new family is coming for her in a week or so and the promised that she wont leave the crate till she is safe in their fenced yard in Alabama!

Oh Lyn! That is the best news I have heard all day today!!! Thank God!

Thank God! Best news I have heard all day. I have been thinking about this constantly and how poor little Lark must have been so frightened.

There are some adjustable collars on the market that I feel are very unsafe as they loosen up on their own and dogs can slip the collars easily. Just wondering what kind of collar she had on???? I am always neurotic about making sure my dogs are secure if we are away from home. I would just be a total WRECK if this happened to me.

Lyn I couldn't be happier for you and for Lark..........Big hugs and kisses to the little wiener dog!

Carol, thats the sort of collar she had on. I have ordered her a figure 8 harness from the Doxie rescue group that she will already have on when Telly and Amanda come to get her again. She is so happy to be in her fleece bed instead of wherever she found shelter . We have had horrendous electrical storms every day since she went missing. God took care of her somehow. When the Bible talks about now not even a sparrow falls without God knowing and caring....how much more He cares for us and for the little lives He has put in our care.

I have been checking often for the latest update, Yeah!!!!! I am so glad to see that she was found. I was thinking the chances were slim, but thank goodness they weren't! :aktion033:

Great News, :aktion033: :aktion033:

I would be careful with a figure 8 harness though, we used them on our shelties when we were on the road and they got out of them. The only kind I ever found that they could not get out of is the ones that the two front legs fit through the holes and it buckles over their back. They sell them at Petsmart.

:aktion033: Wonderful news!! I know that all of you are trying to calm down now. Suggestion, you might want Bonnie to tell her that she's going to a new home and all that -- may make it far easier on her and both families.

So glad Lark is home - she may have an attitude adjustment after all she has been through. I use the harness described above - legs fit through and buckles on the back - on my Pom. I'd be afraid to use a collar as if anyone would get out Foxy would. Anyway-I'm so happy for you and Lark.
