Our wedding was western themed. We had a covered wagon at the reception. We had mini cowboy hats for decorations, saddles for decorations, old wooden looking road signs. People wore jeans if they so chose to do so. My father at first was going to refuse to wear jeans at a wedding but he broke down. My aunt and uncle went to the local tack store so they could deck themselves out.

I was sick the morning of with a really high blood sugar-nerves will do that to you, lol. I told my mom that if fI had to be wheeled down the aisle in a wheelchair I would be there. It came down beforehand and I ended up sick the next day ane we never had our planned honeymoon so we are doing it for this anniversary. Oh, and my mom made my skirt and top.

What wonderful pics and stories. Yes Karla, I will attest to your hubby being a very good lookin man! You both look so in love! Neither one of you have changed much but your kids look just like you both when you were younger! I can't get over how your son looks like Mark and daughter like you...wow! Great gene pool!

Here's a few pictures from our wedding... We were just married on May 12th this year... So it's been a little less than 3 months! :aktion033:

My mom, I miss her so much. She died June 15, 2001 just after midnight. She had been really fighting cancer and was in hospice. The end was awful and I swear she someone held on just so that she wouldn't have passed on our anniversary. She was just that way, she wouldn't want to take our special day away with memories of her death.

Aug 7th is our 20th anniversary! And still have not had our first fight! :new_shocked:

I don't have any photos at all. He was in the Army and was in another state. I went there and waited to get to marry him. He called one day and said he got a 1/2 day off, I called the judge, we zipped down there as they were about to close and we got hitched. No family, friends or anything. We were 1500 miles away. I did have 3 roses from 7-11. One for each year I'd waited for him.

We had only known each other for a month when he went to Germany. For THREE YEARS! No phone calls and not many letters but I waited for him. (I suffered greatly) So we were pretty much strangers when he came home and we got married. But that "thing" was still between us, the magic of the night we met. True love at first sight.

And here we are 20 years later!

I agree with wade3504, Robin, My husband and I were married in the kitchen on a dare from a friend 19 years ago, we renewed our vows on our tenth anniversary with family and friends there, it was great.
