Lori (Magic on the forum) and I have been waiting forever for these two special horses.
Her beautiful daughter of Mountain Highs White Cloud, CCMF Champagne Delight, and my son of Designer Legacy, CCMF Carousel Calypso, finally arrived to my place yesterday afternoon!
What a wonderful Christmas present for both me and Lori! )))
We had decided last March to ship them together since we only live 130 miles apart, but then my Calypso got sick (pneumonia with complications) and had to stay in Florida until he got completely well. Needless to say Ginny and her mom and sister (all the Critter Creek gang ) gave him the very best of care!!!
They were incredible in going the extra mile!!
Meanwhile Lori and I had lined up shipping with Worleys and they kept trying to accomodate us also while we waited for Calypso to get well. They were wonderful to work with When we got the word that Calypso was totally ready to come home, we got a ride for them to Kentucky, and there they got part way acclimated to colder temps than Florida for two weeks at Worleys. And then they brought them here!!
Lori and I will figure out getting her filly to her in a few days but I can assure her she is beautiful and sweet too!
Here are some pics from yesterday when Mari and Bill delivered them, and a couple more.
Calypso got to live the "life of Riley" while he was recovering, so he is fat and happy! But I am so glad he has that extra fat for here in Hilliard in the winter!! His beauty shines through, and he is so sweet also!! And I love his gorgeous little head!! I absolutely LOVE him!!!!
So without further adieu, here are our new "almost yearlings" in their coming winter woolies.
