Thanks! Well, if it had to be a colt at least he looks like a nice one! I'll be going down tonight to see him. I love his markings. Now I just need to find a name for him. Sire is Ten L Tiger's Legacy and dam is Buckeye WCF Classical Carnival. With any luck he'll be my ASPC/AMHR and R Futurity weanling colt for the year.

And, of course, as things go I missed his foaling. I was up til 3 am the night before watching the camera, had gone into work (no internet at home) at 6 and watched til 9, had JUST gotten home and was going to nap for a couple hours when Tracy called saying she thought she was going into labour so I got ready to head back into work to watch and she popped him out while I was on my way. Gee..maybe if I'd left early the night before she would have had him then?

Jen,

I was able to view him on the marestare, he is really nice! Id love to see what he looks like under that blanket, he should be beautiful! Maybe you can post a photo or two of him closer up for us to see? Wishing you the best of luck with him! Laura

Hey, very nice colt! Congratulations! Can't wait to see some real pics of him. Glad to hear that all went well with the foaling. I don't know about you but that part scares the cornflakes out of me. Looks like your result was well worth it!

He read the manual, but mom didn't. Delivery was perfect but mom didn't read that she's 'supposed' to deliver in 12 hours once the pH drops to the lowest. She waited 24 hours!

I had to pick him up to put him on his side today to re-dose his umbilical cord and it was a surprise how high I had to lift him!

It's nice to see him jumping around today, enjoying life.

It was pretty cold yesterday and last night so he has 2 blankies on. Tomorrow should be over 40* so we should be able to take the blankets off for at least a little bit.

He has a snip and lots of chrome! Definitely a black pinto.

Jen has another horse, Swirl, that will be going under camera as soon as I can move Carrie. She's due April 1.
