Mold and Carpet? Any ideas?

I have a feeling this isnt a good out come.

However thought I would ask. Today is cleaning day of the house. I took the rug up by my patio door. Well aparently the door leaks, which dont suprise me the front door leaks worse yet.

Well the carpet is grayish in color and smells like mold. Is there anythign I can clean it with and try to kill it before it gets worse?

So much for those high quality Andersen windows and doors

Sounds like a faulty installation. Did they run a layer of felt paper under the door before it was installed ?? If not its almost guaranteed to leak. A bead of silicon or good quality caulk will be all that can be done at this point to correct it. Not much will actually get rid of the mold other than bleach. You can try a very weak solution to test for the colorfast of the carpet. Best of luck.
