This morning about 5:00 I had a foal that I couldn't get out so rushed mare to the vet. I knew that the foal was already dead, but after decapitating it was able to get it out and I was back home within an hour and one half. When I went back to the lot beside the foaling barn, I looked out and saw two placentas laying there, but at first glance no foals. Then saw one mare laying down nearby, then saw a foal by our guard llama, Groucho, then saw another mare that was skinnier than she was when I left, but no foal? Then about two mares away I saw another foal. Luckily there was a good bit of difference in the size of the mares and I was able to determine which foal went with either mare! So here they are (pictures are at age two hours, so not too good):

Little America's Whatababe

And dropped my jaw at this one: Little America's King Gorgeous

Then I saw my "twins" playing and had to get some pictures.

So sorry about your lost baby, Tony, but the other two are gorgeous! Who is that mare in the second picture? My Spectacular X daughter has a head that looks just like hers! Was just wondering if it comes down through the line, or we just got lucky!

She is Komoko's Arapaho's Royal Rapsady who is out of a sister of our stallions King Rapsady and Blue Rapsady. She is my favorite mare and her foals are always amazing. She was bred back to her uncle to get this colt.

: Congrats Tony,

What nice looking foals.

I am sadden to hear of your loss. Is the mare okay(which mare was it?)I bet the foal was just as nice as the others you have had this year. You can just send any of the foals you don't need to us(haha)

All are beautiful as always Tony. I'm so sorry you lost one and that your little mare had to go through that.

The Colt is Gorgeous and Extreme...Wow! what an appropriate name too. Congrats and condolences.

Congratulations Tony, on the two healthy ones. King Gorgeous' mother is pretty darn gorgeous herself!!

Tony,

how do you tell the twins foals apart(the girls wanted to know)?
One is smaller and nicer. One has some white hairs running down his back. And if you look very closely in person one has four white feet and Left has only white on the two left feet.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your foal. I hope the mare is doing okay. Congrats on your 2 newest additions! Beautiful foals(?colts?). I love the pics of the twins playing!!

Tony,

Even after all the foalings and distocias you've experienced over the years, I know that what you described still will make you wince........and I know the reason why you keep going is being able to come home to the beautiful ones you are showing us today! What a joy.

Congratulations Tony :aktion033:

King Gorgeous is one of a kind
Thanks Anita. He is a half brother to your mare, Little America's D S Miss Royalty! They have the same mother. You have a good eye, but then you already know that.

Wow, your new colt is STUNNING! He is so upright; I love him!

The "twins" and your new filly are absolutely adorable too.

CONGRATS! :aktion033:

So they're not related after all! I guess we both just got lucky! :aktion033: I'm a sucker for a pretty head! I can certainly see why that is your favorite mare. She's gorgeous!
