My stallions neck sweat will not stay in place. It is not too lose is it. It moves up his neck if he puts his head down. The only time is when he is stalled. Is there anything I can do to keep it in place, or should I get a combo one. Where would I find a lined combo sweat?

Um...where are you trying to place the sweat? Usually..you have a sweat around the throatlatch...and if you want a sweat to cover lower then that...then you buy a longer sweat.

The sweats always become more loose as they put there head down- thats normal.

But make sure it is pretty snug on them with there head up...and it should be ok.

If your placing it in the rigtht spot...and have it tight enough..then it should be fine.

Good luck

I use a throatlatch one, and a long one for the lower neck. Does anyone have a photo for ref. on the correct position.

Thanks

Driving our minis with a running martingale has made more improvment on the necks we have around here, then anything! We had our one mini at the trainers and he always had a thick neck, and when we went to pick him up, he looked so much better, I could barely believe it was the same guy! I just couldn't do the neck sweat thing either..

God Bless,

I always had the same problem, so I ordered a sweat from Ozark Mt. that goes from throatlatch down around lower neck and fastens behind the back legs. Works Great! Can't remember exactly what it is called, but Lisa from Ozark could tell you. Would take a picture, but not smart enough to get it here
