Well yesterday a maiden mare Feather all of a sudden bagged up really tight, dripping milk, biting sides, and milk was tested ready. So we knew that she going to go either that afternoon or that night. So we were keeping a close eye on her. Of course as soon as i leave to go to work she goes into labor so my grandma called to tell me that she was having her baby. I was calling like every minute to make sure everything was going ok. I am nervous about maiden mares and especially her since she lost her baby last year. But everything went good and it was a text book delivery. All i was told was it was a loud colored black and white pinto colt. All i really cared about was that it was alive and he was healthy because a couple weeks ago we lost a baby and then a maiden mare and her baby while she was foaling due to major positioning trouble, all in the same day. It is very hard but it is a risk you take when you breed horses. But when i got home last night i went down there to look at it and instantly i saw SPOTS all over his hips. He is a black and white pintaloosa with a star on his forehead but looks like he is going to grey out like his mom. He is very refined and long legged. He kind of reminds of Orion Light Van't Huttenest although he isn't related to him. He is marked up just like him though. His mom's name is Gander Hill Legacy Fanci Feather which is a pintaloosa and his sire's name is Lucky Four Gallants Galaxy a silver bay. This is Galaxy's 2nd foal of the year and his overall 4th foal so far, both of his foals this year have been out of Legacy daughters and have been extremely nice. Well thought i would share him with ya'll. Aubrey
