: Thanks Guys! Thank you very much for all the nice compliments on my little man! I feel in love with him the first time I saw his picture! And then to see him in person for the very first time when Joan of Squaw Creek hauled him to my place, just blew me away... it brought tears to my eyes because he was MORE than I could of ever of dreamed of! I know I think he is very nice, but he's mine and we are are partial to our own... But to have great compliements from other people, is such a great reasurance!
My goals/plans with him.??!!
Well....... Since he's my first stallion.... my goal with him... is to show him and to make a name for him and for me (ha..ha... big goals I know!)..... He was shown as a yearling and placed 4th at the AMHA world. And then he had a year off and then I got him last Thanks giving... And we've gone to 2 shows so far, getting lots of 3rd's and 2nd's... There are only R show's around here..... I would LOVEEEEE to get him to the A shows but I'd have to go sooooo far....... if only $ grew on trees!! lol!
:
My goal this year was to get to the R nationals at Tulsa..... But this summer has really fallen apart for expense wise (something like in reverse mode!)...... So as badly as I'd like to see it happen...... I think I'm going to have to shoot for the following year!
But my ultimate goal.... is to get a title to his name.... And I will continue to show him following years to come. I also have a weanling that I think is going to be outstanding and would like to campaine (sorry, can't spell either)... them both!
But so far for next year... I will just have one baby out of Barakah..... (one foal total for the year)... My bay mare, Mia, who I got from Tami (Oak Park Miniatures)... She's a outstanding little mare!!!! I'm in LOVE with the baby she had this year.... he's just stunning! So I'm VERY ansious to see what they produce! And that will be a late March baby!!! So that baby should be awsome!!!
But I would probally stand him to a couple outside (proven) mares........ but am not promotting that.... I only want a few of him (not quantity!)....
Up here at the shows...... He's the only one like him! Including color! He's almost a blue-grey....... So pretty, wish it would stay that way! But he's a very slow turning grey. His sire did not get that white color until he was 7. So that is very nice!
I think some of the judges don't know what to think of him, because he's very stunning but in a class of his own! But I'm happy to be placing 2nd and 3rd's with him. I have gotten a 1st in the color class, but to me (personally) I don't consider that a important class.
In these pictures........ He has not been worked with or anything. I do keep a triple double neck sweat on him daily (from sun up to sun down) along with his fly sheet, fly mask and fly leggins.
Anyways....... Thanks again everyone for the positive votes!
